Day 2

Dear Daddy-
Today was a great day.  Mommy and I did lots and lots of fun stuff.  Here is a run down of our day.

First, after waking up five times last night I finally decided I was up for the day at 6:15.  Here is a picture of me relaxing on your bed.  I've taken over your side of the bed and I'm not sure I'm going to give it up when you get back.

At first I was a little sleepy, but then I warmed up to the camera.

Then Mommy and I went to Sea Girt to hand in her contract for next school year and visit all of Mommy's friends.  I was such a good boy and didn't cry one time.  I was there for three hours and did throw up on a few people, drool all over myself and others, but we had a blast.  I fell asleep in the principal's arms and slept on the way home in the carn.

Then after lunch Mommy kept trying and trying to put down for a nap, but I had other ideas.

I also found this new trick.  I can put my toes in my mouth.  Mommy says it's gross, but I think it's pretty cool  She doesn't realize boys do gross stuff like this all the time.  Wait until she sees me eat sand at the beach this summer.  Also please notice the scratch on my forehead.  Mommy pulled my wet outfit over my head too quickly when she was changing me at her school and it scratched me. Mean Mommy!!

More yummy toes.

This is tired Mommy and me fighting over my afternoon nap.

Then we had a visit from two of my favorite people, Aunt Susan and Connor.  You will be so excited Daddy, Connor is home from college for the summer.  I'm so excited and I know you will be too!

Hangin'out with my Best Buddy Connor.

We were just chatting about the stuff he learned in school this year.  He was telling me all about Maslow's Hierarchy and I assured him that I've already reached self-actualization.  He was very impressed!

I just love my Aunt Susan Daddy, and she even brought Mommy dinner.  She's the best!

Daddy you would have been proud.  I was showing Connor how strong I am.

You can't tell but he was screaming in pain!

Daddy, do you think Uncle Darryl is going to be mad because I love Aunt Susan so much?  I know she belongs to him, but I was thinking maybe we could work out joint custody.  What do you think?

Ok Daddy that was my day in a nutshell.  Some quick thoughts before I go...

Della stole my screwdriver again today.  I was pissed!  She said she didn't do it but I have evidence!

I went to bed very quickly for Mommy tonight so she could enjoy her own ba-ba.

Oh and last but not least, with my extra time today I looked through some old pictures of you and Mommy.  I hate to tell you but I kind of feel like I'm looking in a mirror when I look at Mommy's picture. Sorry Dad, maybe as I get older I'll look more like you.  I can only hope to inherit that calic.

I love you very much Daddy and miss you even more.  Make us proud and hurry home.
Love - Your Best Buddy Caden

  3. Hey Caden,

    Uncle D here.

Sure you can have joint custody of Aunt Susan. You probably hadn't realized but we've had joint custody of her since prior to your birth. See, I'm no match for you dimples and boyish good looks. Hopefully Mom and Dad can keep Aunt Susan in the lifestyle which she's become accustomed.

I can't belive you could bench press Connor like that! Aunt Susan likes strong boys. Maybe that is why she was trying to get me to wear a onesie to bed last night? Hmmm.

I'd like to cut a deal with your permission: I'll allow for only you to wear the onesies, but I'll need weekend visitation rights, the awesome meals she cooks every OTHER day, and one or two vacations a year with her. I'll pay for the vacations.

Yes, unfortunately, that would all be without you, but you can watch her cook. She'll make you drool like you've never....uh....well.... nevermind. Just ask Dad. He loves her sausage, peppers, and onion dish the best. Even Dad drools over that one! Me too.

    Thanks man. Your my dawg.

    Hugs & Onesies,

    Uncle D.
