Hawaii Day 10

After 10 days at the resort we have finally started to figure out how things work.  The one lesson that we have learned is that chairs by the pool are close to impossible to find during the day.  If you would like one of these precious pieces of lawn furniture your better get your butt out there at that crack ass of dawn to claim your stake for the day.
So on Day 10 we had our game faces on, our floaty raft, towel and pool toys to lay on three specific chairs and as if we are in middle school save those seats so no one else could sit on them.  Ed ran down at 7:30 only to realize that the pool did not open until 8.  Don't you know exactly at eight Caden and Daddy were down there armed and ready to let anyone know, "seats taken!"

Lucky for us.. there wasn't much competition.

Seems things don't get crowded until a little later in the day.

Daddy and his boy sporting a very cool mohawk.

Such a cool little dude!

Then Daddy realized in his chaotic departure from the room he forgot to eat breakfast, so Mommy being the nice person that she is went and got Daddy a chocolate muffin and a coffee.  (Mommy also got a delicious cranberry orange scone.)

Close up of that fine lookin' mohawk.

Snobby little boy didn't want any parts of his breakfast or those boring puffs, but he devoured Mommy's scone. Sophisticated palate at an early age I suppose.

Finally swimming... I'd guess it's like 8:20 at the point.  We have some early days here in Hawaii.

Ummm Mommy.. do you have any of that scone left?  This swimming business makes me hungry.

This afternoon we took a long drive around the island.  Our little buddy crashed out right away and slept for most of the trip.  Unfortunately this was the last picture that we were able to take before the camera battery died.   We saw some amazing view though and luckily my Mom was able to snap a few pics on her camera.

Hanging out with Mi-Mi before dinner.

This is his new thing that he is doing because of teething.  I don't know if you can see it or not, but he sucks on his bottom lip and chews on it.  I think it makes his top tooth coming in feel better.  It cracks us up.

Giving Mommy some cuddle time too.

Hawaii Day 10= Lots of swimming (early), great drive and beautiful views, delicious dinner (chicken lasagna) and very, very tired Mommy and Daddy.  Fingers crossed that the little man sleeps in tomorrow morning.

  1. Those mohawk pictures are PRICELESS!!! Connor would be sooo proud, during soccer season in HS he would always start off the season with a mohawk, much to my dismay. Apparantly a mohawk is much cuter the younger you are! lol ( I actually didn't hate Con's when he did it, he looked like quite the warrior. You all look great and hope you are having a ball, love checking in everday to see what you are doing and catch a glimpse of my little sweetheart. :) xoxo
