Rainy Days = Long Days!!

We finally got over the extreme heat and we had a few nice days that we could be outside, but now we have been hit with lots of rain.  Today was the first day that we could actually be outside in the evening, but the past few days have been tough finding things to do to pass the time.

Rainy Day #1 ~ Jello and Play Dough

A sticky, sloppy, mess....

Rainy Day 2 ~ Making the most fun out of some junk mail

LOL.. notice the ad that he's fixated on in this picture.  I was laughing out loud... to myself of course since he had no clue what was going on.
I agree buddy.. this is how rainy days make me feel too!!

Rainy Day 3 ~ Laying our in jammmies followed by "Helping" Mommy Clean

Immediately after this he took the broom and promptly walked to the dog's water dish and put the broom right in it.  You seriously cannot blink with this child.  He's into everything!

He got a bit wet when putting the broom into the water dish, so we ditched the shirt and vacuumed so we could see those big guns.

 Different approach...
Mom... enough with the camera.  We have work to do!!

Day 4 ~ Light at the end of the tunnel.... but it's short lived.
Today was a gorgeous day.  We were able to be out in the yard this afternoon and then headed to the beach this evening to enjoy what may be our last visit just the three of us.  (I keep saying that and then find the three of us back there again, and again, and again.)  Regardless... we had a fun night tonight, saw one of our favorite girls Kelsey and enjoyed the last nice day for awhile.  The forecast is showing thunderstorms for the next four days.  I guess we'll have to become more creative with our rainy day acitivities.
Caden spotted Kelsey at Gee-Gee's and his was so excited.  He followed the poor girl around all night.

He even stole her Italian Ice.  She is such a sweetheart it's no wonder he sees hearts when she's around.
They have volleyball leagues on Wednesday nights at our beach.  Caden and Ed looked like a team in their matching green shirts, however their volleyball skills clearly made them stick out as spectators not players. :)

 Time to head home.
Caden walked the whole way to the car for the first time and flirted, waved and won over everyone along the way.  Families, women out exercising, girls drinking wine on beach chairs, you name it he charmed them.  I think we're in for it with this little guy!

Hidden at the end of this long post........
I put this picture here because it cracks us up and clearly depicts what our evenings are like, but maybe some people will miss it since it's at the end of this post.  This was taken the other night... and yes that's a big bowl of Butterfinger ice cream.
