Since we found out we were pregnant we always thought about how we would introduce Caden to his little brother for the first time. We knew it would all be overwhelming for him. Being at home without his parents for two days, coming to a big hospital without us, riding the elevator, and then of course the shock of seeing us with another baby.
I have to admit it all was perfect. My parents and Aunt Susan brought him to the hospital and stopped at the gift shop first to get a balloon. Those that know Caden know that he LOVES balloons, so this was perfect for him. Then they got to the room and when they opened the door and he ran right into my arms. Ed and Caden then proceeded to treat the hospital room like a playground. They batted the balloons around, made the bed go up and down, played hide and go seek around the curtain, and Ed even put him in Jackson's little cart from the nursery. There were a few moments of bonding between Caden and Jackson, but lots of laughs and giggles through the entire visit. It is a moment we will never forget!!
