Daddy's Birthday

Not only was yesterday Ed's Birthday, but it was one of the best weekdays that I can remember in our house in a long, long time.  After not feeling so well with random contractions and not sure what the day entailed, Ed decided to take the day off and stay home with us.
My boys woke up with a pathetic breakfast in bed of donut holes and juice, but they didn't seem to mind.  They opnened gifts together then headed downstairs to dance to some music, fly Ed's new remote control helicopter, and just enjoy the morning together.  It honestly felt like Christmas morning in our house.  We were all three together on a random week day just smiling, laughing, and enjoying our time together.

Later yesterday afternoon Ed's sister and her family came to visit before leaving for their week long vacation in the Outer Banks.  We were so disappointed that we will have to miss the Outer Banks this year, but were so glad to see Uncle Toby, Aunt Nicki, Hunter and Graci for a a quick visit.
While Caden and I were napping Ed and the kids ran around in the yard playing the pool, running through the sprinklers, and just laughing and giggling their heads off.  I seriously have not seen Ed laugh that hard in a long time.
Then after dinner it was time for cake.  We jointly celebrated Aunt Nicki's B-day in July, Ed's B-Day and Graci's upcoming Birthday in August.
