Special Friday

Since Friday was Veteran's Day we were lucky enough to have Ed stay home with us for the day.  We were even lucky enough to have him come to the Little Gym with us for class.  We planned that Ed would watch the class and keep Jackson while I went in like usual with Caden.  As I could have predicted, about 5 minutes into class Caden started asking for Daddy.  Ed willingly switched spots with me and absolutely loved spending time with Caden.  They went on the uneven bars, the balance beam, jumped on the spring board, did backwards rolls, played with balls and chased bubbles.  Caden absolutely loves going to the Little Gym and I'm glad Ed finally was able to see what it was like.
On the way home we stopped for a treat at Dunkin Donuts.  This is the first coffee I've had there since Jackson was born.  I used to go there every single day when I was working, so when I walked in all the sweet workers greeted me and wanted to know when I was going back to work.  Note to self... You may go to Dunkin Donuts too much if every.single.person knows your name there.

Here are a few shots of Caden eating a donut and not getting grossed out or gagging for the first time EVER.

Poor Jackson was tired after gymnastics too.  It's hard to smile at all the cute little girls for 45 minutes.
Ok.. I was a little worried before, but he's now, without a doubt officially my child.  I could eat donuts all day everyday.

A perfect day from beginning to end with my boys and of course a pumpkin flavored coffee.

Ok so here's the story with the pictures below...
Friday evening we got take out at our usual favorite Italian place, and I asked Ed to stop and get a bottle of wine on the way.  He decided to take Caden with him and when they got back Caden it was a debacle.  I was feeding the baby, so when Ed walked in the dogs jumped up, the food got dropped on the ground and Caden ran straight to the kitchen.  When we came to see what he was doing we saw him running to the cabinet and grabbing the wine opener to open the bottle of wine.  Seriously??? How did he know how to do that?  I think it's because every single time he tries to play with it we tell him to put it down and that it's not safe. (Smart parents would just move it out of reach, but whatever.)
Anyway.. here is our little wino helping Mommy and Daddy get ready to hit the sauce.  Thanks buddy!!
