Caden is still our sweet, kind, and sensitive little guy. In the last year he has been on so many new adventures and has learned to do an immeasurable amount of new things. He has started talking more and more each month, he has attended his first organized kids class, first he attended Music class and he is now also attending Gymnastics. He is laid back and more shy than outgoing at class. He had stamp anxiety for awhile, but is now breaking out of his shell and getting his hand stamped at the end of class. He is still a very picky eater and would live on yogurt if he could. He still loves the Wonder Pets, but has been branching out to Bob the Builder and Thomas the Train lately, and also likes The Wiggles and Backyardigans. He spent his summer at the beach, in the backyard, at the park, and even was able to catch an end of the season dip in Ma Ma and Pop Pop's pool. He fell in love with airplanes this year and is fascinated with Pop Pop's plane. He loves playing with Daddy and his tools and will jump at the chance to go to the garage or the basement. He loves to dance to any type of music and loves jumping in his crib. He is a Mommy's boy when it comes to cuddling and will curl up on the couch with his milk and his Mommy numerous times throughout the day. He likes to talk to Mi Mi and Pa Pa on the phone and usually does it on a daily basis. He talks to his Aunt Julie on the phone as well and will belly laugh until he gets the hiccups when his cousin Dylan talks to him. He knows how to scroll through the pictures on my Iphone and begs to use the laptop. He likes to hide in the closets and knock on the door until we find him.
Caden asks to be swung upside down, spun around or flipped constantly. He cuddles in bed with us every single morning, and we love it! He is tough but sensitive, calm but excitable, but still makes you work for a smile. He loves any time he gets to spend with the neighbors and can now say Tay Tay, Co Co, Zach, Daisy Dee and Poo... Kelsey should be his next word.
Most importantly this year Caden became a big brother. He is usually very sweet with Jackson and will ask to hold him, pat his head or lay right beside him. He looks for him whenever he wakes up in the morning or from a nap, but still doesn't quite understand he can't sit on his brother's lap
.
His is shy, opinionated, silly, sweet, adorable and .................
HE IS TWO!!
This morning we woke up and enjoyed Dunkin Donuts and some giant balloons with Ed's family. Then they had to head home to PA, and we just snuggled on the couch as a family of four and watched Caden's new favorite movie, African Cats. He calls it "Growls" and asks for "Grows peeees" all day long.
I love this picture of the three of them.
When I say big balloon.. I mean HUGE!!
As a special treat for Caden's birthday, we decorated a little area in our spare bedroom in two year old little boy style. I think he really liked it.
Caden's new little corner of the house. Chalkboard, magnet board, kitchen, car carpet and shopping cart.
How will we ever top this in years to come?
We put streamers up and Caden ran through them to see his surprise after his nap this afternoon. It was so hard keeping him out of this room and keeping it all a secret for the past month, but we pulled it off.
Straight to the shopping cart
This Birthday Boy had work to do!
Blowing out the candle for the 100th time and of course giving Mommy kisses.
Aunt Susan and her boys!!
Caden got big boy undies from Ma Ma for his Birthday and he wanted to put them on after his bath tonight. They are so darn cute I could have let him run around in them all night... IF there wasn't such a risk of a wet boy and a wet floor. Good news.. we got them off before any accidents.
Here is a random picture from the weekend that I just love!
Caden spending his Birthday weekend with his cousin, his buddy, Hunter.
