Look at Caden's face. He was pinching poor Dylan. This is his new thing that he does when he gets all excited.
Dylan had a lot of fun playing, and Caden had a lot of fun eating, and eating, and eating.
More Eating!!
Poor Mi Mi got a work out lugging Caden all over the yard that day. Thanks Mi Mi!!
LOVE this kid! He did such a great job of sharing with Caden and was so patient with him the entire time.
Then just in case the boys weren't exhausted enough, we decided to head to the beach for dinner and fun on the sand.
What, Mom? You want another picture? Ok, make it quick!
Aww Mom look what you did... you distracted me and the left without me. Thanks a lot!
Mi Mi to the rescue with a sweatshirt to keep me warm and a hand to keep me from falling.
Dylan and Ed decided to go for a swim and it was MUCH colder than they anticipated. Poor Dylan came back with goosebumps all over him and shivering. He kept telling me to put more towels on him.
Then he decided the best way to keep warm was to have Caden sit on his lap. Look, he even has his hands in Caden's pockets. It was really a sweet moment.
The next morning before we all got on the road to head to PA, Caden and I included, we decided to stop over at the farm to tire the boys out a bit. At the time we had no idea what was to come, but the next day Caden got really sick with a high fever and the stomach bug. We joked the entire time we were at the farm that he just wasn't an animal lover (like his mom), and was afraid of the animals. In hindsight and from looking at the pictures you can see he was starting not to feel well. Dylan on the other hand was like the animal whisperer and had herds of animals running to him. That is also similar to his mom, my sister who always loved animals when we were growing up.
Hanging on to Pa Pa for dear life from the beginning to the end of the trip.
Little Man strugglin' already.
This deer was so sweet and was very trusting of Dylan.
We must have stayed by the cows for half the trip. He just loved these cows for some reason.
I made him make a stinky nose face to show that the pigs were stinky. I needed to make my own amusement at this point.
There were two new calves at the farm that I have to admit were pretty darn cute.
Still not loving the farm.
Here Caden thought he might see what Dylan was up to.....
but then quickly resorted to hiding between Mi Mi's legs.
Enough of that nonsense Mommy.. I'm headed back with Pa Pa.
And...... We're......
DONE!
We managed to get some fun painting time in before Caden got too sick.
Thank you to my parents for coming to pick us up and bring us back to PA with you, thank you for helping clean Caden up when he did a face plant into the black top on the parking lot, thank you for waking up with us two nights in a row at 4am, doing many loads of laundry when he kept getting sick, and most importantly thank you for holding Caden for hours upon end and just loving him when he didn't feel well.
Also.. thank you to Ma Maw and Pop Pop who were kind enough to help us out with a sick boy and wake up in the middle of the night with us. Sorry for not having any pictures from your house, but I think we were busy cleaning up puke. :)
