Today we had a nice break in our regular routine, a visit from the Shuey Family from Pennsylvania. After a never ending day yesterday that included Caden refusing to nap, biting me on my belly, standing the the dog's water bowl with new shoes on, and eventually splashing in the toilet water to end out the day. Needless to say, we were very excited to greet Scottie, Joni, and adorable little Colton today.
The boys got along so well and played together like they've been best friends forever. Unfortunately a bad storm came through this evening and we were unable to make it to the beach, but first thing tomorrow morning we will be beach bound and hopefully enjoying a nice day on the sand.
Our chubby little man decided to spit water all over himself while eating lunch, hence the no shirt look.
The boys shared toys, shared snacks, high fived each other and couldn't have been more enjoyable to be around. I think I'm going to have to borrow little Colton for the rest of the summer to maintain my sanity!
After dinner the boys were all dressed for the beach, but since the weather did not cooperate we read some books and just hung out at home instead.
Then we had to read Caden's favorite book over, and over and over again.
