I don't know what I've been doing lately, but I haven't written a blog like this in a long time. While just hanging around the house today and following Caden around I realized he's doing so much stuff that I haven't blog about. Here are my 10 favorite things.
1.) He is running all over the place. He still has his wobbly walk and topples over from time to time, but he's getting steadier on his feet each and every day.
2.) Today he individually handed me every single item out of the dryer as I was folding clothes. Then he took the dryer sheets out and pretended to clean every surface he could find.
3.) Caden is still obsessed with books.We have these awesome books by Matthew Van Fleet (check them out) that have furry animals to feel, flaps to open, etc. He will look at these books over and over again and if you miss touching one of the animals he will take your hand and show you what to touch. It's really cute.
4.) He started doing this funny face this week where he blinks both of his eyes. We automatically laugh after he does it, so it prompts him to do it over and over again.
5.) Pretty much any time of the day he will take both of his hands and put them over my eyes because he wants me to flutter my eye lashes and give him butterfly kisses. If I try to stop he will turn my face towards him and make me do it again.
6.)Just this weekend Caden has started to participate in If you're happy and you now it. He claps, stomps his feet, raises his arms, etc. It's so much fun to have him interacting rather than me just singing like an idiot.
7.) If you ask him for a kiss he will pucker his lips no matter when he is in the room and make a kissing noise for you.
8.) He can FINALLY make a basket in his Little Tikes basketball hoop. Now he may put a basketball, tennis ball, blanket or cardboard brick in there, but he still finally grasps the concept.
9.) Caden is a holy terror right now. Don't get me wrong he's ADORABLE, sweet, and cuddly, but he's into everything. You turn your back for two seconds and he's going up the stairs, or crawling on the dogs, pulling out the drawer under the stove or trying to open the toilet seat while dragging the toilet paper behind him. Despite all of this I still love this stage.
10.) My favorite thing about Caden right now is how much he loves to dance. This child loves a beat. In the morning when a certain show comes on at the same time everyday he runs to Aunt Susan and makes her pick him up and dance, when "Hot dog, Hot dog, Hot diggety dog" comes on he runs to the TV and starts bouncing, and my favorite is when The Wonder Pets saves the Beetles is on and the song "Help" starts he literally cannot resisit tapping his foot and waving his arm. It's priceless!!
