Caden's first Halloween

Today was officially Caden's first Halloween.  We did dress him up a few days ago to take him to a parade, but since Halloween was today we suited him up again as Construction Caden.  I have to admit we did not go trick or treating.  I know I'm a horrible mother, but let's be honest he can't eat the candy and I didn't feel like carrying around from house to house.  Instead we just hung out at home and handed out the candy to the two people who came to our house.

Then one of our two trick or treaters stopped by and it just happened to be Caden's buddy Cole from next door.  Do you remember Cole from way back when he and Caden first met?

Don't worry.. we let them play together too. It wasn't just a photo session the entire time.

We hope everyone had a very Happy Halloween.  Our little construction worker was very tired and in bed early tonight.  

On a side note... Caden has been denying any new foods recently.  He spits it at you or throws a stiff arm to block you from feeding him.  Today he ate, of all things, a kiwi and LOVED it.  I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.  Thank goodness we have something to add to the mix other than strawberries and bananas.
