Some of the fun we had included Chocolate World, Zoo America, Pop Pop's tractor, going to t-ball practice, multiple egg hunts, chasing bubbles, digging in the dirt, and of course yummy Easter dinners. Thank you to everyone that helped with the boys over the past week.
We also want to thank everyone for their generous Easter baskets. We came home with lots and LOTS of candy and toys, clothes and swimming trunks, Toy Story toys, and Woody Pajamas, gardening tools, stuffed animals, play dough, coloring books, and much much more to show for it. Thank you all.. we miss you already!
Dylan and Caden walking up the ramp to the Chocolate World ride.
Look at Caden's face. He was amazed when he saw all the chocolate.
Then of course it was time to consume massive amounts of sugar. This time it was in the form of a bunny cookies with icing and sprinkles. Gotta love Easter time at Chocolate World.
This is Sienna. She is my sister's best friends daughter. (Did you follow that?) She and Caden were born on the exact same day.
He finally warmed up to her after almost an hour.
What a cutie!!!
Then we headed over to Zoo America to see the animals. Dylan has been there so many times he could be a tour guide.
Then it was time for a snack break.
Everyone was checking out the elk.
Caden and Aunt Julie
Caden was so exhausted at the end of the trip he was sitting in the stroller after seeing the wolves and literally howling. I was shocked he didn't fall asleep on the way home.
Then it was time for the first of many Easter Baskets Sunday morning. The camera kept fogging up because I accidentally left it in the car over night.
The theme of this year was definitely Toy Story. Caden is obsessed. On this day he was sporting his Buzz Lightyear jammies and his Toy Story slippers. He also received Toy Story Crocs, the figurines, bubbles, stickers, and I'm sure many more things I'm forgetting.
Sunday evening we had two Easter dinners to attend. The first was at my sisters (where I was negligent and didn't take any pics, sorry), and the second was at Ed's Uncle Randy's. I decided to make the boy's shirts this year rather than jamming them into some uncomfortable button down shirts. For the first time, maybe ever, I was happy with how they came out.
Totally cooperating as a two year old should for pictures.
LOVE these two!!
Excited to see Hunter and Graci at Easter dinner.
This is what Jackson did at Easter dinner.. well for the first half an hour anyway.
Uncle Dan was happy to take our little man as soon as he woke up.
Ma Maw and her boys.
Aunt Mayzie and Jackson
Getting ready for the egg hunt... let the fun begin.
Uncle Randy rescued Jackson before he got run over.
Look at that little bulldog's lip
Great picture of Ma Maw and Pop Pop
Hunter was so sweet to Caden. He would put one egg in his bag and one in Hunter's. He even split up the money that he found with Caden. What seven year old does that? He's definitely a sweet one!!
Buddies hanging out and checking out their loot.
Someone started to feel a little under the weather after all the festivities. Of course he was pampered and spoiled since we were at Mi Mi and Paw Paws.
Perking up a bit to play with Nonny (Dylan)
This was my favorite Easter Present. :)
Paw Paw and ALL of his boys. He's going to have his hands full on the years to come.
We literally looked away for two seconds and this is what happened with the Easter stamps.
Lucky us.. we had a special appearance by Woody from Toy Story. These are going to be the jammies that the child cries and whines for when they are dirty and in the wash. We had to pry them off of him.
Once we held him down and wrestled the jammies off of him we headed out to enjoy the beautiful weather. We dug in the dirt, chased bubbles, and threw ball. I enjoyed it all except for the dirt. I don't know if I'm cut out of all of this dirty boy stuff. Guess I better get used to it.
Our little man came along and just hung out watching from the sidelines.
