Rudolph

So we've been talking about Santa, the reindeer and all things Christmas lately.  In an effort to get in the Holiday spirit Caden decided to do his best to look like Rudolph yesterday.

The story goes like this.... Jackson was asleep in his pack n play and Caden was safe (or at least I thought) in his play room, so I took two seconds to run upstairs and grab the boys clothes for the day.  We were headed to the neighbors for a play date, and as relaxed as it is, I didn't think pajamas would be appropriate. After being upstairs for .2 seconds I hear the dreaded blood curdling scream from downstairs.  As I sprint or literally jump down the stairs I see Caden laying on the other side of the playroom fence, staring at the ceiling and blood dripping out of his nose.  My strategy when things like this have happened lately is to scoop him up, calm him down first and then assess the damage.  After I got him calmed down I looked at his face and his nose was swollen and immediately black and blue.  Luckily the blood stopped pretty quickly, but indeed he looked like a little Rudolph.  From what I can conclude... I believe he was standing on the wing of his wooden airplane and I think he flipped over the fence and landed on his face on the hard wood floor.

After quickly feeding Caden candy from a large bag that his Ma Maw so kindly gave him for Halloween he seemed to have no lasting effects other than a bruised, puffy and red nose.

Here are some pictures from today of our little dare devil.

Mommy.. I'm Fine.. you're just a nervous nelly.  Don't you know with two boys running around there are going to be a lot more bloody noses in our future.
 Get used to it!!

P.S.  As I look at these pictures ,you seriously cannot tell that anything is wrong with his nose.  It makes me laugh because it just goes to show that each new day is a new adventure, especially with a two year old!!
