O Christmas Tree!!!

Yesterday we took our annual trip to the local nursery to get our Christmas Tree.  We took Caden with us for the first time ever, and decided that Jackson could hang out at home since it was so cold.

I don't think Caden really knew what he was in for, but of course he and Ed had a blast.  They ran up and down the aisles of Christmas trees, touched every single one, and giggled the entire time.  Well... maybe not the entire time.  The ride home was interesting.... (see below).

He was still trying to figure out all these trees.

Ed's yearly phone call to his parents to see what kind of tree we were supposed to buy.
Missing you Jackson.. you'll be here with us next year buddy!!
Daddy goofing around and playing hide and go seek in the trees.
Mommy getting down to business and trying to find the best tree.
Ok... so in true Caden fashion, he was VERY worried about the tree on top of the car as we drove home.  He kept saying, "Fall down go boom."  "Uh-Oh" and as you can see he was almost in tears.  Ed and I were cracking up and just crossing our fingers that it didn't really fall off the car.  We knew he's be traumatized for life.

This was Ed's first trip home.  He totally forgot he had to get a hole drilled in the bottom of the tree, so he had to turn around and take the tree back.  Ha.. ha!!

Happy even if he didn't get to go along to pick out the tree this year.

 What a ham.. seriously!!
Holding his glasses on while turning the lights on and off.

Paw Paw provided some mid-decorating entertainment for all of us!

Thanks to Uncle Mike and Aunt Pammy for Caden's adorable outfit!!
Since the tree has gone up Caden has only pulled off about two dozen of the balls, spiked them on the floor, rolled them across the dining room and turned the lights on and off about a thousand times.  He really loves the tree, but he really needs to learn that it's to be looked at and not destroyed.

Truth be told... all the ornaments are shatter proof and it kind of makes me laugh when he rips the tree apart.
