Monday- My Aunt and Uncle arrived to visit and help us out for the week.
Tuesday- Caden has his music class in the morning, then I ran home and switched boys and took Jackson to the doctor's office to get weighed. He is now TEN POUNDS SIX OUNCES.. WOW!! The pediatrician has decided to put him on Zantac for his belly aches and Maalox three times a day. So far we have seen very minor results and we are still dealing with reflux, spitting up, and screaming bouts, but we are hopeful things will get better soon.
Tuesday evening I had my 6 week doctors appointment. The doctor told me that a week after I delivered they were hit with the hurricane pretty badly at the hospital, since it is only a block off the beach, and lost power for 8 minutes before the generator turned back on. He told me I was very lucky little Jackson decided to come early!!
Wednesday & Thursday- We just hung out at home, tried to survive the rain, and keep my aunt and uncle from running for the hills after being around two wild boys.
We did manage to get a few crafts in before Caden got too grumpy in the afternoon. (See pictures)
Friday- Our next door neighbor and her son came with Caden and I to try a new gymnastics class at the facility where Caden takes his music class. Let's just say it was Caden's own personal heaven. They ran around, jumped on a blow up thing, learned to swing on the bars, do a headstand, go through an obstacle course, and play with a bunch of bubbles and balls. I have not seen this child smile and laugh so much while burning a great deal of energy, well, ever. As we were leaving the building I called Ed and told him to get his check book out. Hopefully we'll be joining the Little Gym in Manasquan's BEAST class sooner than later.
As a result of this class Ed had Caden in the bathroom getting ready for a tubby on Friday night when he spotted the towel rack and started screaming with excitement as he jumped up and tried to grab ahold of it. We definitely have a wild one on our hands.
Saturday- Today we sadly said goodbye to my aunt and uncle and wish we could move them in full time. Our children would be a lot happier with more entertainment around and we would have a much better chance of staying sane.
We didn't really do a lot today since it was ugly out again. Our highlights were.. Ed getting his with projectile poop, Caden crying his head off when it was nap time, all of us getting bitten by mosquitoes on a quick walk, (me) walking back into the house from the grocery store to see Caden sobbing because Ed was feeding Jackson and Ed sitting with his ear protection on, Caden having candy corn, skittles, and chex mix for dinner, and Jackson crying for an entire hour because his belly hurt.
PLEASE.... try not to be jealous. Our lives aren't usually this fun and exciting. Today was just an extraordinary day. :)
My sweet little Jackson who continues to be such a trooper and hardly cries despite the fact that his belly hurts throughout most of the day. LOVE him!!
Craft time.. we painted (or attempted to paint) a little airplane, stained glass plastic thing.
Then it was onto stamps. I still cannot believe I let him do this.
Another day of a cleaner activity. LOVE this markers.
