Ed, Caden and I have found ourselves on the beach quite a bit in the evenings. We've eaten at Gee-Gee's, the local pizza and fries place, more then I would have ever liked to. Regardless of the artery clogging, stomach ache inducing food, we've had a lot of fun, and enjoyed watching Caden enjoy the yummy french fries for the first time.
Ed and Caden found a giant hole in the sand. We were too scared to Caden in there alone, so Daddy went in with him.
Reading to go, go, go!!
We were also lucky enough to have our friends the Lashers visit us again this summer. They made it the whole way from New Hanmpshire to Manasquan with a 2 year old and a 7 month pregnant Mommy, and were still in good moods when the pulled up. They are without a doubt our parental role models. They have an adorable son, Brady, who is the sweetest thing ever.
Seriously, isn't he the cutest thing ever?
Caden trying to find out what Lauren is hiding under her shirt. She is the cutest pregnant Momma ever!
Test driving having two bambinos to wrangle at the same time.
Caden in the middle of his land of toys.
We once again subjected the Lashers to the yucky, gross, smelly, disgutsting, oh.. umm I mean fun, and child loving animal kingdom known as Atlantic Farms. I swear all kids, including Caden and Ed love this place. I would love it too if I could ride in an enclosed vehicle or just a clean bubble throughout the farm. Call me a snot, but dirt and animal poo are not my favorites.
Brady loved the farm, but did not enjoy the sheep or the dirt. I love a kid who hates dirt.
Checking out the animals.
Our first annual picture of Caden in the tractor wheel. This is how we measure growth in the Slatt Family.
Checking out the John Deere.
That night we headed into the beach again and enjoyed more Gee-Gee's for dinner. Aunt Susan, Uncle D and Kelsey joined us. We had a storm earlier in the day, so the waves were very rough but the water was very warm. None of us planned on getting wet, but we were all soaked by the end of the night.
We all had a blast, especially Brady Boy!
Brady's little feet.
We are so incredibly lucky to have Aunt Susan in our lives!!
We steal her in the mornings and then again at night. She just can't get away from us.
See that ocean behind my two favorites? That's how big this woman's heart is!
And he's spent! The little man crashed out while we were all playing. No worries though, he woke right back up when it was time for Italian Ice.
Ed and Jim hanging out on the beach. Jim.. Ed wants to know, when are you going to call him?
Caden and Brady both loved playing with his new toy from Ma-Ma. Caden can now walk the whole way around it by himself.
The next day we headed to the beach, and of course Caden needed a little morning siesta before the fun began.
He then woke up and it was time to play in his pool with Daddy.
Brady being a sweet boy and sharing his snacks.
Later this week we also realized that our little man has turned into quite the chunk. His belly has started to come over his shorts and we cannot get enough of it. He is such a ham and as I always say, we love him more and more each day.
His latest accomplishments are that he's eating more table foods. His favorites are buttered noodles, vanilla wafters and string cheese. He also has his second tooth popping through on the bottom. Teething.. fun, fun!
Love the rolls!
