Happy 4th of July!!

We had a fantastic weekend filled with lots of fun times with family and friends.  We are all exhausted, but it was worth every second.

Here is Caden's new play table from Ma-Ma and Pop-Pop.  He absolutely loves it!!

Thursday afternoon Aunt Nicki, Uncle Toby, and Hunter and Graci arrived.  Caden loves his Aunt Nicki!

That night we headed into the beach after dinner.

A certain someone was a bit tired and took a quick nap before playing on the swings.

Caden's first time on the swings at the beach.  At first he wasn't quite sure if he liked it...

but quickly learned to loved swinging!!

The next morning we woke up early and got ready for another fun filled day.

We all got ready and after a quick shopping trip, we all headed to the farm.

Graci getting ready for the farm.

Aunt Jenny and her boys.

Caden all strapped in and ready for his first visit to the farm.  Caden's Mommy wondering how much the chiropractor visit will cost after lugging her chunky monkey around all day.

The Pankake family at the farm.  LOVE this picture!

After the farm we headed to the airport to pick up Ma-Ma and Pop-Pop.  Caden was clinging to his Aunt Nicki like a little koala bear.   It was so cute and definitely unusual for a little man who doesn't cuddle that much and has been on the go constantly.

The got here safe and sound!  Pop-Pop with all off his grandkids.

Someone's is very excited to see him Ma-Ma.

Heading home from the airport, and getting ready for our next stop, the beach!!

At the beach, decked out in his fourth of July outfit and ready for his first fireworks.  This little man had quite a busy day and was pleasant through it all.
Gotta love him!

Still cute even with a grumpy face on.

Playing in the sand with Daddy.

He loves having his toes in the sand!

This is where Caden spent most of the night, in his Pop-Pops arms.  Is there anywhere else you'd rather be?

The only other place I can think of is maybe with Ma-Ma!

Our first Fourth of July as a family!  Definitely a charmed night!

Then right before the fireworks started the little man crashed out on my chest.  He woke up for a few seconds when he heard the fireworks, looked around for a bit, then went back to sleep cuddled up with his Daddy through the rest of the fireworks.

Then in the morning it was time to head back to the airport and say goodbye to Ma-Ma and Pop-Pop.

The Slatt Boys sure do love their planes!!

Hunter, Ed, and Caden watching the plane take off.

When everyone got back from their airport our friends from Indiana stopped by on their long, long road trip to see us.
Mindi and Dan meeting Caden for the first time.

Abby, Samara, and Juliana playing and looking as adorable as always!

The cutest little girl ever, who also happens to be our God Daughter, Juli.

Auntie Jenny and Juli.

Discussing the details of the arranged marriage now.  Juliana will be 2 in November and she weighs the same amount as Caden.  He'll be throwing her over his shoulder in no time.

Juli trying to escape out of the playroom.  It was so much fun to watch her and see what we have to look forward to.

Aunt Mindi and Caden.

Then we headed to the beach to make sure the St. Peters were able to get their toes in the sand before heading back to Indiana.

Mindi and her girls on the beach.

You may not be able to tell from this picture, but Caden's hands are filled with sand.  I'm embarrassed to admit, but I haven't let him play in the sand until last night.  I just dreaded the sand in the mouth, blah, blah, blah.  I finally cracked and plopped his chunky butt right in the sand to see what he would do.  He absolutely LOVED it and didn't even try to eat it.  Most likely that will last until about, um... next week, but we'll enjoy it while it lasts.

Hangin' with Mommy on the beach.

Today we were lazy and just enjoyed a relaxing day at home.  Here is Caden in his playroom entertaining himself while we ate breakfast.

Then we did what we felt was most patriotic on Fourth of July.... we went to Lowe's.  I mean seriously, what's more American then a trip to Lowe's?

Caden seems to take after his Mommy more then his Daddy when it comes to his interest level of Lowe's.

Our first 4th of July weekend as a family of three was yet another huge success.  To our family and especially Mindi, Dan, and the kids.. thank you so much for coming to visit.  It was great to see everyone, and we appreciate all the efforts everyone made to be able to spend time with us at the beach!
We love you all!
