Happy 60th Pa Pa!!

Today is actually my dad's birthday, so before I begin, HAPPY 60TH BIRTHDAY to the most patient, kind, understanding, giving, loving and of course the smartest Dad to ever exist. :)  We love you very much and thank you for all that you have done for Ed, Caden and of course all the times you were there for me (or saved my butt) over the years.  Hope your day was as special as you are to us!!

We celebrated a little early with a low key weekend here in Jersey.  There were lots of fun birthday treats, balloons and signs, but of course there were some Christmas shenanigans thrown in there as well.

Ed took Dylan and went to pick out the perfect tree.  My mom and I were randomly driving by the same tree place to pick up a birthday cake, so we stopped by to help out.  It ended up I picked the tree and they brought it home.  Team work, right?
This is without a doubt the best tree we've ever had.
Cuddling with Aunt Julie after nap time.
He is fascinated with all the ornaments and especially enjoying trying to put them in his mouth.
Strange, I know.
 Happy 60th Birthday Pa Pa!!!
Caden showing Mi Mi and Pa Pa his cool Mickey Mouse music player.
Just chillin' with his Mi Mi.

Then we decided it was time to get rid of the jumperoo (insert tears here), and set up the basketball hoop Aunt Susan got Caden for Christmas.  Caden's still a bit small, but the rest of us really love it.
Some fierce competition that Caden is completely oblivious to.
Dylan had a blast beating Uncle Eddie time and time again.
Getting ready to sing to Pa Pa.
If you notice we have the Christmas cards we've received so far up on the wall. At every meal I ask Caden where the cards are and he points to them and proceeds to wave to them. The simple things like this make my day time and time again.
 Yummy Birthday treats.
 Thinking about blowing that horn?

 That would be a YES!
 The Happy Couple!

Ok.. this is what we got my dad for his Birthday.  The LARGEST box of candy every.  (Don't worry.. we're not cheap.  We got him a big Christmas / Birthday joint gift, but he has to wait for that.)
Notice who sprinted faster than I've ever seen him move to check out the chocolate.  The funniest part is my dad didn't share a piece with anyone.  Smart man!
Caden enjoying his first taste of a fudge brownie.  He love it!

So many new fun things to get into.
Then of course when we woke up on Sunday morning we HAD to make a fort under the bed.
Yes, Ed is underneath our bed with both boys, a toy firetruck, pillows and Lord only know what else.
They giggled and crawled around under there forever.

Followed by some friendly wrestling between cousins.

And of course a day is never complete without the silly face.

 Head Lock?
Dylan is really just trying to hug Caden because he can't get close enough.  He hugs him and kisses him and insists on taking his socks off as soon as he sees him to look at his little toes.
I don't think so buddy.. I"m outta here!
This is what the rest of our Sunday looked like after everyone left.  We all had a great weekend but just relaxed and enjoyed a lazy Sunday.
