The Farm

Once again the week we ventured out to the local farm.  It was a gorgeous day, 74 degrees to be exact.  The wind was blowing, the sun was out, and yes Caden was complaining that he was cold and needed a jacket.  I guess that's how you know that your children are officially beach bums.  Anyway, we had a great time and Caden wasn't afraid to feed the animals.  The only thing he was afraid of was the obnoxiously loud mooing of the cows and the crazy hee haw noises that donkeys were making.  Jackson on the other hand was not impressed the entire time we were there.  He just sat in the stroller and continually threw his hat on the ground.  He did perk up a bit when we went and had Ralph's Italian ice afterwards followed by a happy meal for him from Wendy's.   It was a great day that resulted in great naps!!

 Waving goodbye to the animals.

See how these crazy animals were trying to twist their heads out of the fencing.  I tried to feed the one some carrots, well I threw them in (which I don't think you are supposed to) and they started kicking each other... oops!

When we were here earlier in the summer this field was all dirt, now the corn is taller than the boys.

Ok see that lady holding her grandson.. yeah what a nightmare.  Every time I was talking to Caden she would interrupt and correct me.  I told him we were going to see the Llamas like Diego takes care of and she say's very loudly.. "Let's go see the ALPACAS."  I felt like saying, listen lady.. first of all mind your own business, second if my kid wants them to be llamas that is exactly what they are!"  Guess I've been in Jersey too long!

 Still not impressed!!
Here he was calling to the pig and trying to wake him up.

Caden watches the show Zaboomafoo with my dad that is all about animals.  He knew this was an ostrich and wanted to point out it had long legs so that it could run fast.  He doesn't miss a thing this kid.
Here are the Llamas.. not alpacas.. but Llamas. (Even if I'm wrong I'll never admit it to Caden.)

Finally we took some time to watch the ducks and they boys were getting tired and silly and just fooling around.

These two of Jackson crack me up.  In a nutshell, this is what he thought of the farm.

I didn't realize that ducks sit, walk, and quack all while in a line.  guess you learn something new every day.

Caden loved this rusty tractor and kept asking if he could move his finger and touch each part.  At least he was cautious.
This my friends.. is what was in the happy meal at Wendy's.  This made us laugh all throughout lunch, even when Jackson threw his entire plate on the floor, ketch up and all.

Time for naps... tired little boys.
