Jackson is ONE!!

This past weekend, August 18th, our little Jackson turned ONE!!  I cannot believe just a year ago this easy going, chubby, little boy entered our lives.  To try and sum up in one blog post how much this sweet soul has added to our lives would be pointless.  No words could express how much we love Jackson and how he has made our family feel even more complete.

Happy Birthday Jackson!!

Jackson has acquired, and maintained the nickname "Tassy."  Caden was unable to say his name when he was first born, hence the origination of the name Tassy.
Jackson loves to scream like a teenage girl or cough as if he's choking.  He usually does this when you aren't paying attention to him.  I guess you have to be create when your the second born and sometimes are ignored.

Jackson still loves his pacifier at a year old.  He does tend to throw it or play games and teases you with it, but when he's tired he is comforted by his "nootser."
Jackson absolutely loves his big brother, Caden.  He smiles from ear to ear when he sees him and just wants to do whatever his big brother is doing.  Jackson is happiest when Caden is snuggled up, loving on him, or giving him attention of any kind.

Jackson is stronger and has more energy than any child I have ever encountered.  Changing him can be quite challenging, and he is constantly, constantly moving all.day.long!!!

Jackson is also easy going and laid back.  You can change his routine, wake him up from a nap, skip his nap, push him when he is tired or just miss a meal and for the most part he is fine with it.  He goes with the flow of our crazy family and we are so thankful for that.

Jackson smiles and giggles all the time.  This child can be in the middle of a meltdown (which are usually very minor) and you can easily cajole him right back into a good mood.  He smiles from the minute he wakes up in the morning until the second he goes to bed at night.  I could just eat him up.

Jackson eats anything and everything in his path, even things he should eat.  Numerous times throughout the day you will catch Jackson chomping on something and when you dig it out of your mouth you never know what you will find.  Sometimes it is a toy, or a fuzzy, a tag, dog food, etc. (Yeah.. Mom of the year.. I know)

Jackson has a HUGE head.  Everyone yells at me for saying this, but his melon is his melon and we LOVE our big headed baby.

Put this little man in a swing and he will be happy.  When he was little and he was having belly problems the only place that he was content was in his swing  This has transferred over to the swing in the backyard, and is the main reason that the majority of his pictures from his first year are him in the swing.

This child has no fear!!!  The first time we put him in a pool he immediately dunked his head underwater.  The first time we put him on the sand he put a huge handful in his mouth and immediately crawled away from us.  He jumps off of couches, chairs, beds, etc.  He does what we call a trust fall which is equal to the Nestle plunge when standing on our bed.  In the bathtub he splashes and flops around creating quite the mess.
He is crazy!!

He is a mad pooper.  It is true.  If we put him in the playroom or his bedroom and he does not want to be there, he will poop on command.  Lovely... let me tell ya!

He is fun, kind hearted, sweet, energetic, smiley, laid back, fearless, chubby, and he is our sweet ONE YEAR OLD!!

We love you to the moon and back Jackson!
Love - Mommy, Daddy & Caden
