Christmas Tree Time

We were all excited to go to the local Farmer's Market this year to pick out a Christmas tree.  Unfortunately, when we got there they had less than 10 trees left and they all looked pretty pathetic.  Plan B... we headed to another nursery a few minutes away and not only were we greeted by Santa, but we were also greeted by a ton of trees.
We always get Frasier Furs, but this year we got talked into another type of tree.  WORST mistake ever!! That stupid tree dropped needles from the second we brought it home until the day we threw it in the back yard.  I have a hard campaign out for an artificial tree for next year, but so far I've been denied.  There's still time!!

Caden's best buddy Cohen came with us for the adventure.  He was a good sport during a long day.
These little figurines are a hit every year, and we added the Peanuts gang this year.  Caden and Cohen sat at the table and played with this silly things that make music for over an hour.  I was shocked that they still thought they were so cool!!
The diva herself supervising it all!

I am shocked and so proud of the next few pictures.  I put my OCD away for a few hours and let the kids decorate the tree all on their own.  I honestly did not move any ornaments until after they were in bed.  It did make me twitch the entire time they were doing it, but they had fun and that's all that matters.

And yes.. looks like I ran out of boxes last year and stored the ornaments in a Birthday gift bag.  We keep it classy around here.

The boys were building a trap for Santa by placing all the ornaments under the tree.
