The Outer Banks

Once again we had an awesome trip to the Outer Banks with Ed's family.  We felt like things were a bit easier this year since we didn't have a four month old, but instead a 17 month old.  We weren't stopping to feed and burp a baby, or waking up in the middle of the night to feed her.  You'll be shocked to hear me admit it, but we were a tiny bit sad to think that we are almost completely past the baby stage.  In the same breath though, I'm just happy we survived.

We had the best weather we've ever had in that it wasn't so terribly hot, and it only rained one day.  The boys loved the hot tub, catching crabs, lazy time in the basement watching their ipads, the ice cream truck, hiking the dunes, and finally on the last day they decided they loved swimming in the ocean.

Molly loved running away from us on the sand, getting lots of attention from the family, walking straight into the deep end of the pool and going under, and screaming her lungs out the whole way home in the car. Ok fine, it was only the last hour but it definitely felt like the whole way home!!

Reminders for next year:  DO NOT forget the EZpass at home, don't pack nearly as many clothes for the kids, always have cash for the ice cream truck, be ready for lots of quick clothes changes with the kids, and find a way to make Molly sleep in the car.

Now... onto the best part!!

Caden & Jackson excited to be going over the bridge to The Banks, and Molly looks like her neck is about to break and she is not amused.
