Caden is 6

My first born, my sweet little boy is six!  I'm shocked to say it, but this year was not as hard as some in the past.  I feel like Caden is in such a good spot right now that it makes me content and happy.  He may be getting bigger, but he's enjoying all the new adventures, the new friends, and all the fun new skills he's learning at school.  All of those things make me happy for him.

Caden has started to love going to school each day.
He is doing great reading his sight words and his easy ready books.
Math is his favorite and he loves going to library twice a week.
Caden still loves spending the days in his underwear and will strip down minutes after walking in the door.
He is still a picky eater and survives on Cliff bars, yogurt, fruit, veggies, and a few other random things.
Caden absolutely loves his sister and always wants to cuddle with her.  He hates when she screams though and begs us to, "turn her volume down."
He played soccer again this year and loved it more than ever before.

Caden's favorite thing in the world is his ipad, but close runner ups are the computer and the TV.  As Caden says, "I love tech."
Each night before bed Caden and Ed listen to the Harry Potter audio books.  He understands it all and can re-tell you everything that happened and all of the character's names.
He still loves animals and any type of super hero figurine.
Caden loves doing LEGO sets and is actually pretty good at them.
He continues to HATE writing and basically anything that has to do with fine motor.

Caden's biggest fan is his brother Jackson.  They are best friends one second and worst enemies the next.
He eat his weight in popcorn almost everyday.
Caden is still very sensitive and will get scared by a movie or really anything random and will not let you forget about it.
He is not very good at hiding how he feels, and sometimes will let you know exactly what's running through his head. "Mommy, are they going to leave soon?"  is heard almost anytime someone comes to visit.

Caden loves his Momma and runs to her when anything is wrong or when he's nervous about anything.
Caden loves his Daddy and has fun doing experiments and crazy stuff with him.



Caden- we love you  more than you will ever know.  We are so proud of how hard you are working in school and how far you have come with writing, coloring, etc.  We know that can be hard for you, but you are getting better each and everyday.  You are a great big brother and Tassy and Sissy are lucky to have you.  Please keep your unique personality and love of all things related to animals, dinosaurs, legos, and building.  Keep dancing whenever you hear music, and skipping in line at school, even if you get in trouble for it.  We know when you bounce and skip around you are happy.  Stay in your underwear until your 18 if it makes you happy, and above all know that you are our favorite 6 year old in the whole entire world!!!
