4th of July

4th of July was one of the main things that left a lump in our throats when we thought of moving back to Pennsylvania.  Each year we look forward to having Ed's family in town, going to the beach, watching the fireworks, and just having a charmed time together while celebrating the 4th.
This year we were in Jersey just the four of us, and although it wasn't a continuation of the traditions we have upheld for so many years, we still had a great time.  We did some fireworks in our back yard, spent great time with our awesome neighbors, and even made it to the beach to see the fireworks.  It was debatable for awhile whether Jackson would make it until the actual fireworks started, but he hung in there.  We ended up having a great 4th and the boys loved the fireworks.  What more could you ask for??

Ed designated the pool the "safe zone" while the fireworks were going off.  He would light the fireworks them all three boys would sprint over and dive into the pool.  Always a fun time when Ed's involved.

Then Ed made up this great game for all of us to run around and smack each other with the bat.  It actually was a lot of fun.

 Miss these guys so much!!

As I'm sure you can guess.. this is when Jackson almost got flagged! (no pun intended)

They sat still and didn't move the entire time the fireworks were going off. It was the perfect end to a fun time back in New Jersey.  I cannot wait to see where we will spend 4th of July next year.
